🗺️Now a bit about me…I was born & raised in the artsy-hub of London, but my heritage is of Burundian🇧🇮 [East African] & Bajan🇧🇧 [West Indies Caribbean] descent.
📍 Now, I currently reside in the green-heart of Glasgow and have been living here for 6 years. I love Scotland so much, but I’ll probably move to a warmer climate someday... What can I say? I’m meant to live with the Sun☀️
🎨 I am an Independent-Contemporary Artist, working primarily in acrylic on canvas. I also transform my original paintings into refined digital compositions as prints and posters. I love working across physical and digital mediums to explore the different ways of producing art.
🎨 All of my prints are taken from original hand-painted work. As I am also a Graphic Designer, I enjoy turning my newly-created art into a new digital creation. I get to combine my love of fine-art painting and visual-communications to bring you a piece of island paradise bliss.
🌞Tropical Pop Art naturally became my signature style because it feels like home. Half of my heritage is from the paradise island of Barbados, and some of my fondest memories are tied to the colours, textures and rhythm of island life. Although most of my upbringing was in a western city, I will always be an island girl at heart...and this is another way i get to connect with my roots: through my art.
🌞 The warmth of the sun on painted walls, the bold greens of palm leaves, the saturated blues of the sea, the fruit markets, the music, the stillness and the vibrancy existing at the same time. There’s something about tropical scenery that isn’t just visual ~ it’s atmospheric. It has a pulse.
🌞 Growing up with that influence shaped the way I see colour and composition. Tropical landscapes aren’t muted; they’re unapologetically alive. The contrast, the light, the organic forms...they’ve always felt instinctive to me. Creating tropical art feels like a part of me is returning home.
🌞 My art allows me to translate my early memories into something tangible. It’s a way of honouring part of my culture, whilst reinterpreting them through my own modern lens. Each piece carries elements of nature, warmth, and cultural vibrancy that I associate with the paradise of the Caribbean region.
🌞 My work is also inspired by the idea that art can transport you. Tropical art, for me, is about capturing that sense of escape, heritage and atmosphere — and bringing a piece of that sun-soaked energy into everyday spaces.
🌺 It’s more than a niche. It’s a connection back to where part of my story began...
